Bring the charm of farm life home with our new 3-Month Rent the Chicken Experience — a premium, beginner-friendly way to enjoy fresh eggs, daily rhythms, and the magic of caring for your own small backyard flock without the long-term commitment of chicken ownership.

This is not a typical laying hen rental.

At Two Little Acres, every experience is intentionally small, thoughtfully curated, and designed to feel simple, beautiful, and memorable for families. Our Rent the Chicken program gives your family the opportunity to welcome three egg-laying hens into your backyard with everything you need provided.

You get the joy of fresh eggs, the sweetness of caring for animals, and the childhood memory of running outside to check the nesting box each morning.

What’s Included

Your 3-month Rent the Chicken experience includes:

• 3 egg-laying hens from Two Little Acres
• Approximately 8–10 fresh eggs per week
• 100 lbs of chicken feed
• Omlet Eglu chicken coop (or comparable coop sized for 3 chickens)
• Food dish
• Water dish
• Simple care guide
• Delivery, setup, and pickup included

Optional organic feed upgrade is available for an additional $100.

Fresh Eggs at Home

Your hens may lay eggs in beautiful natural shades, including soft browns, creams, and possibly blue or green eggs depending on the hens selected.

Egg production can vary based on weather, age, season, stress, and the transition into a new environment, but most families can expect approximately 8–10 eggs per week from their flock.

A Premium, Beginner-Friendly Setup

Your rental includes a Deluxe Omlet Eglu coop, making backyard chicken care feel simple, clean, and manageable.

The Omlet Eglu is:

• Easy to clean
• Easy to move around the yard
• Designed to help protect hens from predators
• Beginner-friendly for families new to chickens
• A cleaner, more elevated alternative to traditional wooden coops

We deliver everything, set it up for you, and pick it up at the end of your rental period.

This is a new pilot program for Two Little Acres.

Availability is intentionally limited while we fine-tune the details and make sure the experience feels easy, supported, and truly aligned with the Two Little Acres brand.

As we continue to fine-tune the program, more availability will be added.

Reserve Your Experience

We are now accepting interest for a limited number of 3-month Rent the Chickens Experiences 

Requirements:

-Must be within 30 minutes of the farm or additional travel fee required.

-Coop location must be easy to access with one person

-Flat Spot in yard for Coop

We bring the birds, the coop, the feed, and the setup.

You enjoy the eggs, the learning, and the little moments that become childhood memories.

This is a a non-refundable experience. All sales Final.

****The provided coop is designed to help keep your hens safe when used as directed. If you choose to allow your chickens to free range outside of the provided coop or enclosed setup, Two Little Acres is not responsible for loss, injury, or predator-related incidents. Chickens lost or harmed while free ranging will not be replaced. Egg production may vary based on breed, season, weather, stress, age, and transition into a new environment. Colorful egg layers are beautiful and special, but they typically lay less often than traditional brown egg layers. Families who prefer the highest egg production should choose brown egg layers when available. Colorful eggs are not guaranteed and depend on the hens selected for your rental.
